In this rapid prototype, I experimented with d3.nest and d3.rollup to clean and prepare the data, then I forked an observable notebook to create a racing bar graph exploring a potential data for my project:

I wanted to practice putting together heatmaps in d3, and over the summer, I got pretty into this procedurally generated online facsimile of baseball called Blaseball, which is so fascinating on a data level, so I combined the two into a visual representation of my favorite team’s attributes! https://observablehq.com/d/1cc551bad7194ddb

I wasn’t able to get the Globe.GL package to work within Observable, so I deployed the project to GitHub pages and embedded the site in my Observable notebook — I hope that’s okay.
I have forked a candlestick chart and modified it by importing Tesla data from Yahoo finance representing how the stock has gained value exponentially since the market breakdown on March 21th due to the COVID-19 crisis.
